Booking Information

You can book your Fells' Kitchen adventure with me in two ways:

1. Private/Corporate Bookings:
If you’d like to arrange a private or corporate adventure for a group of friends, family, or colleagues, simply get in touch to agree a date that works for us both. This option gives you complete flexibility — choose your date, location, pace, and style of day.
Give me a call or send a WhatsApp message on 07976 374629 with your preferred dates and adventure type, and I’ll check my availability.  Please get in touch for details/pricing.

2. Open Adventures:
If you don’t have a group but still fancy joining an adventure, you can book onto one of my Open Adventures by clicking the Shop button on the top right. These experiences are open to anyone and are a brilliant way to meet like-minded people and share the experience.  Please note — Open Adventures will only run with a minimum of four guests.

What’s Included:
  • Qualified Mountain Leader accredited with Mountain Training Association
  • Mountain Rescue experience & Outdoor First Aid trained
  • Routes planned with local knowledge, landscape history and a relaxed pace
  • Fully insured and operating with a 5-star food hygiene rating
  • 28 years’ experience as a professional chef
  • Two-course gourmet lunch included as standard
  • Lunch cooked on the fells whenever possible.  I use gas stoves and wood fired stoves (on private land with permission).
  • If terrain or conditions limit cooking: Gourmet “posh picnic” alternative
  • Crème brûlée and tea/coffee/hot chocolate/soft drinks to finish
  • All dietary and allergy needs catered for
  • Private groups & corporate teams welcome

Group Sizes:
For the full “lunch cooked high on the fells” experience, I take small groups of up to 8 guests. This allows the group to move comfortably together and ensures the cooking setup remains relaxed and enjoyable.
For larger groups, I recommend a figure-of-eight style day: we explore in the morning, return to the vehicles for a freshly cooked two-course gourmet lunch, then head back out for the afternoon’s adventure. This approach keeps things practical (there’s a lot of equipment, food and flavour involved!) while still offering the same high-quality experience. I’ll usually set up a gazebo and seating area beside the van so guests can relax, chat and soak up the atmosphere while lunch is prepared.  I operate this set up for my Night Navigation supper meals too.

More Information:
For more details or to make a booking, please email or call / WhatsApp me on 07976 374629.
Bookings for Open Adventures can be made directly via the Shop or through my Facebook Events. For private/corporate bookings, simply get in touch to discuss your dates and ideas.

I operate primarily in Northumberland, The Lake District, North Yorkshire, and The North Pennines, though I’m happy to travel to other parts of the UK by arrangement. My main season runs from April to October, but I’m also available for winter adventures for those who don’t mind a bit of chill in the air!

A typical day runs from around 09:30 to 16:30, with travel before and after. Ghyll scrambling sessions usually last about half a day, while night navigation experiences run for around 4–5 hours — including roughly 2–3 hours of navigation followed by a well-earned supper under the stars.
