Example Walks

Bow Fell & Crinkle Crags - The Lake District

Route Overview

  • We would leave the North East early and travel to Dungeon Ghyll car park in The Langdales.
  • We would set off east from Dungeon Ghyll car park and head up The Band, past Earing Crag and then head up Bow Fell via Great Slab near Bowfell Buttress.
  • Lunch would be served on the top of Bow Fell before proceeding south over Crinkle Crags down 'The Bad Step' and then across to Great Knott.
  • We would head back down into the valley via Brown Howe with Browney Gill to our left.
  • Once across Oxendale Beck, it's a short walk back to the car park and then back home!
