Carey Burn, Carling Crags & Carey Burn Linn -  The Cheviot Hills

Route Overview

  • After meeting at the car parking area next to Carey Burn bridge in the beautiful Harthope Valley, we head up Snear Hill to carling Crags.
  • We then head west to Hazelly Burn and on to Broadstruther, before following the path north east towards the small wood adjacent to Broadstruther Burn.
  • We continue to follow the burn past the weir through the lovely valley and then stop at Carey Burn Linn (not indicated on the map) for lunch and a wild swim if you wish!
  • After lunch, we return to Carey Burn bridge and to our vehicles.
