Guided Ghyll Scrambling with Gourmet Lunch

I currently offer my Ghyll Scrambling Adventure Experiences at some of the most beautiful ghylls in the North of England — Ashgill Force near Alston in Northumberland, Church Beck in Coniston, and Stickle Ghyll in Langdale.

All technical equipment is provided, including wetsuits, helmets, harnesses, and buoyancy aids. You’ll just need to bring sturdy wet shoes and a pair of shorts to wear over your wetsuit.

If you prefer to stay a little drier, we can also enjoy dry ghyll scrambling — climbing up waterfalls without full immersion (though your feet might still get wet!) — at Stickle Ghyll or Crinkle Gill in Langdale.

  • Minimum age: 8 years old (and confident in the water)
  • Duration: Around 2 hours in the ghyll
