Family Fun & Fells - 1st June
Half Term Special
Guided walk for up to 12 guests up The Cheviot via The Hen Hole. Two course, 'Posh Packed Lunch' included.
If you've always had a hankering to climb Northumberland's highest peak, with the family, but didn't know where to start, then this is for you.
We would meet at Hethpool then drive along the private valley (I'll sort the permits) and park at Mounthooly. We would ascend via the picturesque Hen Hole with its collection of waterfalls (some dippable!) and return via Auchope Cairn & the mountain refuge hut, where I'll tell the story of the WW2 plane wreck on top of The Cheviot.
Example menu for the adults would be as follows:
Chicken stuffed with red pepper, goats cheese, wrapped in prosciutto, sun dried tomato & feta frittata with herbs, scotch egg & wild garlic pesto and cous cous with sticky red onions, cashews, rocket & edamame beans.
For the kids lunches, I would liaise with parents as to likes and dislikes and prepare something accordingly.
