Night Navigation Training & Gourmet Supper - Saturday 10th October 2026
Join me for a Night Navigation Experience — a practical, confidence-building evening designed to help you master map and compass skills when it really counts: in the dark.
This session is ideal for anyone wanting to take their navigation to the next level, and it’s especially beneficial for those who’ve already completed my daytime beginners course and want to put those skills to the test in more challenging conditions.
We’ll cover essential night-time techniques including effective use of the compass, pacing, bearings, handrails, attack points, and contour interpretation with limited visibility. You’ll learn how to stay calm, accurate, and efficient when the light fades — and discover just how capable you really are when the hills get dark.
If you want to build solid mountain confidence and become a more self-reliant navigator, this evening is for you.
A hot, two course supper will be provided at the end.
Small groups are better for training I find. This adventure will operate with a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8.
