The Cheviot 7 Peaks Challenge
Northumberland's ultimate mountain challenge – 7 peaks, 24 miles, gourmet mountain dining and unforgettable memories

You've probably heard of the Yorkshire Three Peaks – one of the UK's best-known walking challenges.

Now it's Northumberland's turn!

Welcome to The Cheviot 7 Peaks Challenge – an unforgettable guided mountain adventure across seven of Northumberland's highest summits. Venture into a landscape of rolling hills, rugged ridges and breathtaking views, far removed from the crowds, and enjoy the unique addition of gourmet mountain dining along the way.

This is far more than a guided walk. It's a professionally led mountain experience where all you need to do is gather your team and turn up—we'll take care of everything else. From expert guiding, safety and vehicle support, to exceptional food served in the hills, every detail is taken care of so you can simply enjoy the adventure.

The Challenge

🏔 Seven of Northumberland's highest peaks.
🚶 24 miles (39 km)
⛰ 5,692 ft (1,735 m) of ascent.
⏱ Allow around 13 hours in the hills.
📍 7:00am start from the beautiful Harthope Valley, near Wooler, Northumberland.
💷 £100 per person (minimum group size of 8)
🌿 £5 from every participant is donated to Northumberland National Park to help protect and conserve this incredible landscape for future generations.

Please don't underestimate this challenge. Although the Cheviots are often quieter than many other National Parks, this is a very demanding mountain day requiring a good level of fitness, determination and resilience. The sense of achievement when you finish is immense.

✔ Fully guided challenge led by qualified Mountain Leaders.
✔ Two-course Fells Kitchen gourmet mountain lunch served at our support checkpoints.

Pricing & Booking

£100 per person

The Cheviot 7 Peaks Challenge runs with a minimum of 8 participants and a maximum of 20.

Already have a group?

Perfect! If you have a group of 8 or more, simply get in touch. I'll work with you to arrange a suitable date and send your group organiser a secure payment link.

Booking as an individual or small group?

No problem at all. Whether you're coming on your own or with a couple of friends, you're very welcome.
Simply let me know which date you'd like to join and I'll bring together a group of like-minded walkers until we reach the minimum number needed to run the challenge.

Who knows... you may just meet some new walking friends along the way!

Because this adventure only goes ahead once minimum numbers have been reached, tickets aren't available through the online shop. Instead, once your chosen date is confirmed, I'll send a payment link directly to your group organiser (or to you if you're booking individually).

✅ Sunday 16th August – Sold Out
🟡 Saturday 12th September – 4 places provisionally reserved – just 4 more walkers needed to confirm this event.

2027 Dates

The 2027 programme is currently being planned.

If you have a group of friends, a walking club, a corporate team or a charity group and already have a preferred date in mind, I'd be delighted to hear from you. Get in touch and we'll see what we can arrange.

I'd also be happy to discuss any other dates that may suit your group.
